Acoustic Enclosure

Acoustic Enclosure

Airvac’s advanced facilities offer a diverse range of acoustic enclosures, effectively containing excessive noise and improving worker environments. While silencers address airborne noise, mechanical noise from blowers and motors necessitates acoustic hoods to achieve low noise levels and meet statutory requirements.

Description

Airvac, with its modern facilities, provides a wide range of acoustic enclosures—one of the most effective means of containing excessive noise and creating a better working environment. Even though silencers are used with blowers, they only treat airborne noise; mechanical noise from the blower, motor, etc. lies beyond their scope. To achieve low noise levels (often required by law), noise enclosures or acoustic hoods are essential. Airvac acoustic hood enclosures are built from high-quality materials using a combination of rock wool and foams of different grades to suit customer requirements.

Features

  • Noise control: noise level reduction up to 10–25 dB
  • Mobility: enclosures can be easily shifted or transported
  • Ease of maintenance: adequate space is available inside the canopy for service access
  • No civil work: suitable for open installation—no separate building or shed required

Advantages

  • Design: CAD/CAM-based design for minimum insertion loss and compliance with ambient noise standards
  • Construction: robust bodywork from preformed heavy-gauge sheet steel reinforced with a fabricated superstructure; rubber gaskets on all doors and external joints for weather resistance; hinged doors for easy access; flat panels for simpler installation in tight spaces
  • Air circulation: cooling air inlet acoustic louvers provide efficient airflow, avoiding machine de-rating
  • Installation: sound-reduction enclosures are pre-assembled on a support frame and can be quickly assembled on-site
